Depending on age group, our tryouts dates start Friday, September 5.

Vaughan Legends home gym is Toronto Waldorf School, located at 9100 Bathurst Street (Bathurst & Rutherford). To access the gym, please go through the front gates and all the way to the back - the last set on double orange doors lead directly into the gym.

You must register online for all tryout sessions. Though it is recommended to attend more than one tryout date, it is not mandatory.

The Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) is happy to announce the release of the 2025 Tryout Window Policy. Using input from you, our broad membership base, and input from regional representatives, our hope is that this policy will help everyone, regardless of region.

The OVA began this process at the beginning of the year using information gathered through our feedback channels. Surveys from athletes, parents, and club leaders along with insights from the Athlete Council, Regional Council and the Indoor Volleyball Development Council brought a wealth of invaluable information from a variety of perspectives. We believe this policy strikes a balance, considering both club and athlete interests, while also addressing the unique challenges encountered by different regions within the OVA.

The OVA recognizes that our members and clubs each have differing socio-economic and geographical realities that effect how they exist within the Ontario volleyball world.  We had 85 clubs, 1256 unique teams and over 14000 athletes compete in 2024-25 season with over 1600km separating our furthest clubs. In the end, we feel that the Policy is a balance between the interest of our clubs, coaches, athletes and their families. 

This year, the Policy is being released in two different documents. One as a policy for 4v4 and 6v6, and another for TLS to 18U. This is to help fully differentiate the rules between these two groups and help mitigate any confusions of the past.

Online payment is preferred. Walk ins accepted and payment of $25 Cash accepted. *Athletes trying out for multiple age groups will be required to pay for each age group. All tryouts are non-refundable.
